What are you supposed to do with your wedding dress train for your first dance?

What are you supposed to do with your wedding dress train for your first dance?
A beautiful dress with a big train is a ‘must have’ for many brides, but then comes the practical question about how to manage this for the first dance.
We’re fortunate enough to have a handy team of seamstresses who can add a little tailoring to your dress that gathers and holds your train at the back of your dress using buttons, hooks and other seamstress magic techniques.
If your train is lighter in material you may want to consider a wrist loop. This can give a graceful, ‘Old Hollywood vibe’ and create a flowing effect of the dancefloor.
If you’re keen to limit additions and alterations you can consider simply draping the train over your arm for the first dance, but only if the material is lightweight enough.
Otherwise, we suggest considering how to move with your dress for this special moment so you and your partner feel confident.
