How far in advance before my wedding should I start looking for my wedding dress?

Normally, twelve to eighteen months before your wedding you should start the search. You should make your decision no later than nine months prior to your wedding.

I am getting married in less than 4 months what should I do?
At O’Briens Bridal we have a sale rail and you can purchase a wedding dress from it on the day of your appointment.

We make sure our samples are kept in the best condition so you can pay for your wedding dress in full and take it home on the day of purchase.

Do you hire or sell wedding dresses?
We only sell new wedding dresses and our shop’s samples.
Do I need to book an appointment to try on wedding dresses?
Yes, you do need to book an appointment. We only take one appointment at a time to ensure each bride gets our undivided attention with our experienced consultants.
How long is a bridal appointment?
A bridal appointment is normally 1.5 hours.
What should I bring to my bridal appointment?
We have a few pairs of shoes in sizes 3 UK – 8 UK. You can bring a pair of socks and we recommend wearing nude colour high waist underwear for your appointment.

Strict NO FAKE TAN policy as we want to preserve our wedding dress samples in the best condition possible.

Who should I bring to my bridal appointment?
We love a party as much as the next person but bringing too many people along to your appointment can quickly become overwhelming and stressful. We advise bringing no more than four of your nearest and dearest to the appointment. Your wedding dress shopping experience is about you!
When should I choose my veil and a headpiece?
You can pick them as soon as you will decide on your wedding dress and try them on all together during your appointment. Some veils or headpieces may be difficult to reorder so it is better to choose them during your first bridal appointment.
What size wedding dresses are available for me to try on?
Our wedding dress sample sizes are 8-30 UK.
What else can I buy in O'Briens Bridal?
We sell bridal belts, headpieces, jackets, capes, petticoats, boleros, and veils.

What is the payment process for a wedding dress?
When you will decide which wedding dress you wish to purchase, we will fill out and sign a contract together.

You will need to pay 50% deposit. Then the balance needs to be paid within 2 weeks of notification of delivery of your gown.

It normally takes about 5 – 8 months for a dress to be made and delivered to our shop depending on the company you order it from.
