How far in advance before my wedding should I start looking for my wedding dress?
Normally, nine to twelve months before your wedding you should start the search. You should make your decision no later than seven months prior to your wedding. Bridesmaids dresses should also be ordered not less than seven months before your wedding.
I am getting married in less than 4 months what should I do?
At O'Briens Bridal we have a Sale Rail and you can purchase a wedding dress from it on the day of your appointment.
We make sure our samples are kept in the best condition so you can pay for your wedding dress in full and take it home on the day of purchase.
Do you hire or sell wedding dresses?
We only sell wedding dress samples and order new dresses for our brides.
Do I need to book an appointment to try on wedding dresses?
Yes, you do need to book an appointment. We only take one appointment at a time to ensure each bride gets our undivided attention with our experienced consultants.
How long is a bridal appointment?
Bridal appointment is normally between 1 hour and 1.5 hour long.
What should I bring to my bridal appointment?
You can bring a comfortable pair of shoes and we recommend to wear nude colour underwear for your appointment. Strict no fake tan policy as we want to preserve our wedding dress samples in the best condition possible. We would please ask to wear as little makeup as possible and that lipsticks and foundations are kept to the minimum but you can wear fake lashes and eye makeup instead.
Who should I bring to my bridal appointment?
At O'Briens Bridal Couture we have space to seat up to 10 guests if you'll choose to bring your closest family and friends with you to your bridal appointment.
We recommend bringing only the closest people with you as they will be helping you choose your dream wedding dress.
What size wedding dresses are available for me to try on?
Our wedding dress sample sizes are 6-26 UK.
May I take pictures of the wedding dresses that I will try on?
At O'Briens Bridal we do allow photographs.
When should I choose my veil and a headpiece?
You can pick them as soon as you will decide on your wedding dress and try them on all together during your appointment. Some veils or headpieces may be difficult to reorder so it is better to choose them during your first bridal appointment.
What else can buy in O'Briens Bridal?
We sell bridal belts, headpieces, jackets, petticoats, lace boleros and veils. We also have small selection of bridesmaids dresses to order from Kelsey Rose Collection.
Do you buy back wedding dresses?
Unfortunately, we do not buy back wedding dresses. We only sell discontinued samples from our Sale Rail and new wedding dresses which are available to order in different sizes and colours.
What is the payment process for a wedding dress?
When you will decide what wedding dress you wish to purchase we will fill out and sign a contract together.
You will need to pay 50% deposit. The balance needs to be paid within 2 weeks of notification of delivery of your gown.
It normally takes about 4-7 months for a dress to be made and delivered to our shop depending on a company you order it from.
What is the price range for the wedding dresses?
Prices range from €350 - €1200 for Sale Rail dresses and €950 - €2200 for new orders.

When shall I schedule my first fitting?
We will call you eight weeks before the wedding date and set up your first fitting.
How many fittings should there be?
There are usually 2-3 fittings but sometimes there may be one or two more.
